Based on the true story that inspired the narrative laid out in the songs featured on The Mars Volta's album The Bedlam In Goliath. The "Soothsayer" in question here is the Ouija board owned by vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala and the songs detail how it morphed from a source of amusement into a "malevolent psycho-spiritual force" during the bands Amputechture tour.

[SPOILER - DON'T READ UNTIL YOU TRIED IT!]
Attic - Click jacket pocket to get prayer card. Go left, grab rope under dresser. Click middle drawer to get crucifix. Click top of dresser, then open inventory, click on rope and use rope with hook. Go back to the right, select rope & hook from inventory and click on wooden beam above door. Move rope back and forth 3 times, and then click on the top of the rope and drag your mouse down to pull the door open.
Second floor - Click in the darkness to go down the stairs. Turn on the light. Go to middle left hallway and then to the door on the right to the bathroom. Turn on the faucet to read the message on the mirror and then leave back to the hall. Now click on the door at the end of the hall to the master bedroom. Turn on the lights by clicking the light switch in the middle of the cord plugged into the wall under the window. Now pick up the love note sitting on the middle-right side of the bed. Pick up shiva statue on dresser on the far left. Click on the alarm clock, and the areas of the digits that are NOT lit up is your code (which is different each time). Leave the bedroom. Leave the side hall.
Back at the foot of the stairs, click to the far left past the light switch to go to the office. Pick up the murder note sitting on the printer on the right of the desk. Click computer or monitor to turn it on, and then click monitor to enter the code from the bedroom alarm clock. Read the journal and leave the room.
Click on room right under stairs in the middle right side of the main hallway. Turn on the light switch just to the right of the door. Pick up Holy Qur'an book on the far right and then exit back to main hallway. Click end of hallway to go to bottom floor.
First floor - Turn on the light to the left. Enter the first door on the left to enter the loungeroom. Pick up the Jewish shofar (horn-looking item) on the table in the back, and the Buddha statue to the far left. Exit room. Now enter second door on the left, the linen closet. Pick up the "lust" note on the table to the right and the Japanese Shinto Ema (the picture hanging on the wall above it). Eventually, after picking up all the items and spending some time exploring, the door to the left in the linen closet will light up. Grab the key hanging from the ceiling, and type "love lust murder" on safe to get the Ouija board, the Soothsayer. Exit closet, open inventory and drag door key onto door at the end of the hall to enter the kitchen. There are two endings: (1) Open inventory, select soothsayer and click table to die and (2) click sliding glass doors to the left to go outside, click on hole twice for happy endind.
